Gourmet Farms

Gourmet Farms is no doubt a must-visit destination in Silang for its 12-hectare estate that serves as a breath of fresh air from the bustling and sometimes chaotic city life. With a product list that includes coffee, teas, baked goods, lettuce chips, various dips, spreads and sauces, as well as greens and other culinary herbs, exploring their estate is an enlightening and delicious affair.

Battle of Binakayan Shrine

The Battle of Binakayan-Dalahican was a simultaneous battle during the Philippine Revolution that was fought from November 9–11, 1896 that led to a decisive Filipino victory. The twin battle took place at the shores of Binakayan, in the town of Cavite Viejo (also called Cavite el Viejo, now Kawit); Dalahican and Dagatan in Noveleta; and, to a minimal extent, in Imus and Bacoor towns that lasted for two days before the Spanish army retreated demoralized and in disarray. The result of the battle was the first significant Filipino victory in the country's history.

Aguinaldo Shrine and Museum

Dubbed as the House of History, the Aguinaldo Mansion is the locus of a focal point in the unfolding of Philippine history. In 1964, the house was placed under the care of the National Museum of the Philippines and was declared a national shrine through Republic Act No 4039. Today, the house continues to emanate the vision of a free and proud nation as it perpetuates the ideals of the 1896 Revolution and the 1898 Proclamation of Philippine Independence.

St. Mary Magdalene Church of Kawit

The Roman Catholic church is one of the oldest churches in the Philippines, construction of the present church was started in 1737. The church was last restored in 1990 by the citizens of Kawit. Emilio Aguinaldo, the president of the First Philippine Republic was baptized in this church, his birth certificate is kept on the left side of the altar. The years have tinted the church's facade with a characteristic patina, prevalent in the brick walls, making the plastered cornices and pilasters that divide the facade stand out to the eye. The facade is otherwise devoid of any flamboyant decorative elements.

Museo Orlina

Limited slots!

Museo Orlina is the showcase of the artistry of internationally acclaimed Ramon Orlina, pioneer and foremost practitioner of glass sculpture in the country. Before Orlina, glass was largely appreciated only for its utilitarian function: as drinking vessels, window glass panes or automotive windshields. A visionary, Orlina saw beyond the humble origin of this industrial glass residue. The result is an exultant body of works that, through the decades, have dazzled the art scene and prized by numerous collectors.
