At AAP Travel (also collectively referred as “Company”, “we”, “our” and “us”), a subsidiary of the Automobile Association of the Philippines, Inc. (AAP), we value the confidentiality of the information you submit to us. We provide this Data Privacy Policy for you to be notified of the information we collect and how we keep them confidential. We also describe the measures we take to protect the security of your personal data and how to contact us.

The captions or headings provided in this Data Privacy Policy are strictly for the purpose of convenience and are not intended to limit the type or use of the information described under the particular caption or heading.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

In the course of providing our Services, AAP Travel collects, uses, and discloses your personal data. Personal data is any information that can be used to identify you or that we can link to you. You, as traveler, meeting/event attendee, or user of the Services, may be asked to provide certain personal data when you use our Services, such as but not limited to the following:

  • Personal Information [Name, Age, Date of Birth, Civil Status, Gender, Citizenship, Signature]
  • Contact Details [Address, Telephone number (including home and mobile phone numbers), Email address]
  • Travel Documentation [Passport, Visa, Frequent Flyer Program]
  • Details related to your flights and other travel details, including your preferences with respect to your travel
  • Your dietary requirements and health issues or medical information which you voluntary provide to us in connection with your use of our products and services
  • And such other additional information that will be required in relation with herein declared purpose and use of information

If the Personal Information was provided by a minor or one who is not legally capable of entering into contractual transactions without parental or guardian consent, the parent or guardian shall be responsible in giving the consent required under this Data Privacy Policy and in correcting any information given or in informing us that the information should be disregarded or deleted.

If you provide us or our service providers with Personal Information of other people in connection with the services we offer, you hereby represent that you have the authority to do so and have secured consent to permit us to use the information in accordance with this Data Privacy Policy.

USE OF THE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We will use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To identify if you are legitimate AAP members;
  • To process your booking and other incidental request;
  • To contact you about your booking, travel, freight and other arrangements;
  • To process your payment and/or refund;
  • To personalize your travel experience or provide services tailored to your requirements;
  • To conduct marketing activities including sending out of email and SMS, for our products and services, or products and services of third parties, and to conduct market and other historical and scientific research to improve our products, services and marketing activities and generating consumer insights which may include combining personal information from third parties or public sources;
  • And for all other purposes necessary for the provision of travel and other incidental services pursuant to your transaction.

TO WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

In compliance with this Data Privacy Policy, your personal information may be shared to third parties such as airline services, hotel services, car services, cruise lines services, tour operators, marketing services, conducting market research and analysis, and providing services in the course of investigating a complaint or a security incident. We only share information that we deem our suppliers will need to complete the particular service we have arranged with a specific supplier.

We encourage you to review the Data Privacy Policies of our suppliers and third-party vendors as our Company does not limit their use or disclosure of the information, we share with them.

SECURITY

We have established appropriate physical, technical, and organizational security measures to protect the Personal Information provided to us. We use several security techniques including secure servers, firewalls and encryption in safeguarding the storage of data. Personal Information is encrypted as it travels over the internet because we use a Security Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol. These safeguards are regularly reviewed to protect against unauthorized access, disclosure and improper use of your information, and to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the data. We will adapt and implement the necessary changes for security measures to ensure continuous security of your Personal Information.

RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECT

The Personal Information you have provided to us shall be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements with third parties.
